Hellyeah – Stampede (5/5)

Hellyeah’s 2nd cd is even better then the first. It is a more mature album a few more slow songs and smoother riffs throughout. My favorite song “Polerider” is sure to be a hit at strips clubs across the country. Crank up your muscle car, cut your sleeves off and get ready for a “Hell of a Time”. The only name that matters in Southern Metal Hellyeah!!

Soulfly – Omen (3/5)

Although not as fierce as there previous release Conquer, Omen is still one of the best rock albums of the year.  More violence, and faster drums makes for a tough cd.  Only one slow song on the album, “Soulfly VII”.     Check out the awesome video they put together to promote Omen.

Rob Zombies newest cd is right on the money.  Going back to his roots this cd gives old school fans the Zombie music they love.   In several tracks you can hear the old White Zombie sound lurking.   The single “Sick Bubblegum” is fast paced and fun.   Most of the cd keeps this pace but on “Cease To Exist” they slow it down and show a different side.  Almost has a Mushroomhead-like transition in the middle of the song very cool.   I was disappointed by the last Rob Zombie album and am very happy to see this one is so much better.  4/5

Hellbilly Deluxe II 2010

La-coka Nostra’s new cd A Brand You Can Trust is bleeding Hip Hop greatness.  Superstars such as Everlast, B-Real and Snoop Dogg drop verses and make this the groups best release to date.  Lots of rock in the beats and hooks helps to give these bad boys a unique sound.
